Australind relies on Ditch Witch SK755 Mini Skid Steer for it’s Toughest Jobs

Australind Landscaping Suppliers of Australind Western Australia is a family owned and operated business dedicated to providing friendly service and only the highest quality products.

They offer a range of equipment, available to hire, to complete a variety of domestic, commercial and corporate landscaping projects. The company also provides contract landscaping services to the public.

Shaun Quaife, owner and manager, was eager to add a mini skid steer to his hire fleet. He was also increasingly challenged with larger landscaping projects and needed a compact machine to improve jobsite productivity and efficiency and reduce time spent on each job.

Shaun first came to hear about the Ditch Witch® Mini Skid Steer range at a hire association meeting in Perth in 2016. Kevin Boult, Ditch Witch representative for WA arranged for a demo of a Ditch Witch SK755 Mini Skid Steer. Shaun was impressed by its serviceability. It was operator friendly and most importantly, easy to maintain. Unlike small traditional ride-in skid steers, the step-on-step-off platform is much safer for the operator, provides for better visibility of the jobsite, and is considerably easier on the operator for landscaping work.

Shaun recently purchased a second Ditch Witch SK755 Mini Skid Steer: “The service we receive from ELB Equipment is absolutely fantastic. I rang Kevin at 7am yesterday morning and by 12pm the machine was in my yard, commissioned and ready to rock n’ roll! The SK755 accepts a range of attachments to tackle multiple jobs, and because they are so well built, robust and reliable we never experience any issues hiring these out.”

Discussing the applications of the machine, Shaun says, “We also use them on a range of our own projects, but especially with turf installations. We recently acquired a trenching attachment so we can now tackle larger reticulation projects.”

Ditch Witch SK755 Mini Skid Steer is built to outperform on any jobsite. Featuring a high-drive track system and an enhanced operator’s station, it delivers superior performance through increased ground clearance, more lift capacity, faster ground speed, longer track life and more operator comfort. Because it runs a turbo charged 32hp tier 3 motor, it is able to deliver best in class horsepower substantially cheaper than comparable units running more expensive tier 4 engines.
